Hi, I am having trouble in taking the engine out of my 1988 MR2 MK1. All the mounts,pipes,gear linkages,exhaust,driveshaft are off but it seems like the engine is getting stuck somewhere dont know if i should remove the exhaust manifold and the injection system (TVIS)? The rear engine cover was modified to increase the height of the vents to clear the intercooler. The passenger side engine cover vent was closed off and the driver side vent had moulding added on the inside to seal against the top of the intercooler. I imagine a real basic question for this forum, but as I am about to change out spark plugs and intake manifold gasket on my '07 Corolla LE, how to you remove the two clips at the rear of plastic engine cover that hold it on without breaking them?
